To repair profile permissions. Run the following in Terminal, replacingwith the profile shortname you are trying to fix.


sudo chown -R <username>:staff /Users/<username>
sudo chmod -R 700 /Users/<username>
sudo chmod 755 /Users/<username>
sudo chmod -R 755 /Users/<username>/Public /Users/<username>/Sites
sudo chmod -R 733 /Users/<username>/Public/Drop\ Box
sudo chmod +a "everyone deny delete" /Users/<username> /Users/<username>/Sites /Users/<username>/Public /Users/<username>/Desktop /Users/<username>/Documents /Users/<username>/Downloads /Users/<username>/Pictures /Users/<username>/Music /Users/<username>/Movies /Users/<username>/Library
sudo chmod -R +a "<username> allow readattr,readextattr,readsecurity,list,search,read,execute,file_inherit,directory_inherit,delete,writeextattr,writeattr,write,append,delete_child,add_file,add_subdirectory" /Users/<username>/Public/Drop\ Box
